Apple suing PsyStar

Legal blogger Jorge Espinosa reports that Apple has finally taken legal action against Hackintosh seller PsyStar, filing suit in the Federal District Court for Northern California.

The suit alleges counts for violation of its shrink wrap license, trademark and copyright infringement. Specifically, OS X's license states that the software may only be loaded on Apple-branded hardware.

Psystar began selling the Open Computer, a Mac clone, back in April. They added an Xserve clone in late June.

The clone maker has seemingly gone out of its way to irritate Apple, third-party developers and its own customers.
