PsyStar tweaks offerings

You've gotta give credit where credit is due--PsyStar has persevered through a lot of bad press and they're actually making efforts to improve their product. Specifically, they're targeting the two biggest complaints about the OpenComputer--can't use OS X' Software Update and noisy fans.

Although users still can't use Software Update, PsyStar is sanitizing updates and then offering them for download via their support page:

Safe updates, as well as bug fixes and workarounds, are now available in our Support section. We have released a couple of fixes for things like Time Machine as well as a fix for DHCP issues that some customers are having.

Regarding noisy fans, the company doesn't have a fix for current OpenComputer owners, but will instead roll out cooler / quieter cases for new customers:

We heard a lot of the feedback from the community and responded with these cases which are sturdier and feature a low-RPM 90mm fan for quiet operation and cool operating temperatures.

Software updates from Psystar? New cases, but no fan fix for old customers?

Half measures to be sure and existing customers will be rightly cheesed, but PsyStar hasn't quit yet. That is, their chutzpah seems to be holding out...

What's your take?
