The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs is offering a series of posts under the title FSJ shutdown drama, which is being billed as a Think Secret-style takedown.

To date, here's the penultimate bit in this drama:

Other news from my [lawyer] is that Apple's team still wants to propose a cash-for-shutdown offer, but they only want to make the offer in person and they want the two of us to fly out to Cupertino. I was like, Dude, if these [effers] want a sitdown they can fly their fat lawyer [arses] out here to me, and what's more, tell them they gotta be here Monday, at 4 pm, and I'll give them fifteen minutes to make their proposal. That way even if they turn around and fly right back it still [effs] up their Christmas Eve.

It has to be said that this isn't he first time Apple's gone after people it finds irritating during the holidays. In fact, the mothership started taking action against Think Secret et al around Christmas '04 and filed suit in January '05.

FSJ is a rather popular figure, much more so than Think Secret or any of the other players last time 'round. There's no way Apple can come out of this looking good.

And, of course, there's also the possibility that FSJ is just making all of this up for the sake of publicity...
