BoxOffice Now Playing returns [u]


For better and worse, applications appear and disappear from the AppStore. For example, that "I am rich" disappeared likely won't be lamented for long. That NetShare won't ever be available again, at least on the AppStore, is a crying shame.

Another of the more popular applications that mysteriously vanished was Cyrus Najmabadi's movie, theatre and ticketing application.

Thereupon, BoxOffice Now Playing (iTunes) has returned to the AppStore and an updated version will soon be available to boot.

Currently at v1.2, the next iteration of Now Playing will fix network traffic bugs, which will cut down on how often the app needs to poll data.

"That means that you'll sync less and get the data you care about faster than before," Najmabadi told Macworld. "This will be a plus for everyone, but will especially benefit edge users and those with spotty connections."

He added that he's working to improve international theatre, etc support.
