Free iPhone wifi on hold
May 15th 2008
The free iPhone wifi soap opera has taken another turn, again for the worse.
Quoting an internal AT&T memo, Crunch Gear reports the following:
"The iPhone Wi-Fi offer that was scheduled to launch today has been canceled. Nothing has been announced by the company to our customers and will not impact existing customers. Additional communication will be provided if the status the project changes."

AT&T's inability to control its services and information about those services has created a lot of confusion and angst among iPhone users, rather pointlessly.
It's one thing to chart a clear course and then execute. It's quite another to move in fits and starts, and then further muddy the waters by speaking indecisively.
A course colloquialism comes to mind--"Shit or get off the pot."
What's your take?
