AT&T lists 'free' wifi locations

Although nothing official has been "announced" per se, that free wifi access is coming to the iPhone isn't a state secret. The service became available and then disappeared last week.

It comes and it goes.

AT&T, though still no announcement has been made, has for all intents and purposes made it official (click the "plans" tab):

Plans start at $59.99 and include Visual Voicemail, Unlimited Data (email and web), 200 SMS text messages and access to AT&T's more than 17,000 Wi-Fi hotspots, including Starbucks all for use in the US.

No, actual service isn't available yet. However, given that the 3G iPhone, etc is due to be announced and will ship in just a couple weeks, it would seem we won't have long to wait...
