And we smell better, too

MacNN, quoting NPD analysis, claims that Mac users are more likely to pay for music downloads than users of lesser operating systems.

"There's still a cultural divide between Apple consumers and the rest of the computing world, and that's especially apparent when it comes to the way they interact with music," said to Russ Crupnick, vice president and entertainment industry analyst, NPD. "Mac users are not only more active in digital music, they are also more likely to buy CDs, which helps debunk the myth that digital music consumers stop buying music in CD format."

Also, "the rest of us" are more likely to pay for OS upgrades, according to ZDNet.

Editor's note: So, Mac users are better educated, earn more, like trying new things and are more likely to be honest vis-a-vis software and music.

No wonder we're smug and self-satisfied--it sucks to be one of them...
