NetRatings has published a survey indicating that Mac users, among other things, are:

Earn above average household income;
Better educated (70.2 percent have a college degree);
More willing to purchase products online;
58 percent more likely to publish their own web pages;
A prime catch for marketers.

Some of the conclusions of the study are carried in a report on News.com.

That story quotes TS Kelly, director and principal analyst at NetRatings, as saying that his company decided to publish the study after noticing the differences between the demographics of Mac owners compared with overall PC owners. Kelly told News.com that Apple Computer is a client, but that Apple did not commission the study nor was it made aware of the results prior to its publication.

Analysis: This report confirms what many simply knew to be true: Mac users are just smarter. Alternately, it could also be said that it confirms Mac users are really a bunch of snobs. Perhaps its a mixed of both or just a researcher finding numbers to confirm a theory.

Definitely a miscorelation. PC's are just so widespread that their statistics get roughly in line with the distribution for the whole population.

I'm sure if you did an unbiased study of people with IQ's above 160 you'd find that the vast majority use PC's.

Your articles are a prime example of how Mac users DO tend to be more inclined to the liberal side. Just look at the deliberately inflamatory style of your writing. It's like you're trying to pick a fight with the written word even though no one but a few very bored surfers will ever read it.
