Apple subnotebook at MWSF

With fresh rumors of a Mac tablet still wafting in the air, AppleInsider arrives with just-turned dirt on an Apple sub-notebook.
Their write up makes the following claims:
• Product will be ready for Macworld San Francisco (Jan 15~18)
• "New-breed" LED back-lit 13-inch LCD screen
• 50-percent lighter than the MacBook Pro
• "Strikingly slimmer" than MBP
• Minimalist, Aluminum design
• No optical drive
• NAND Flash main storage
With solid-state storage and next-gen display technology, this ultra-portable is expected to offer reduced power consumption and, thereby, greater battery life.
Editor's note: Wouldn't everyone be surprise if Apple actually shipped both a tablet and ultra-portable? Then again, maybe these swirling rumors actually embody a single product...
