OS X 10.5.6, Security Update 2008-008
December 15th 2008
Although some predicted it would arrive last Friday, Apple has at last released Mac OS X 10.5.6, as well as Security Update 2008-008.
As is our custom here at IGM, here're the links and short-form descriptions (not that you get much more than that from Apple) presented for perusal and delectation:
• Mac OS X 10.5.6 Combo Update--668MB
-- The 10.5.6 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.
• Mac OS X 10.5.6 Update--372MB
• Mac OS X Server Combo 10.5.6--883MB
• Mac OS X Server 10.5.6--469MB
• Security Update 2008-008 (Server Universal)--133MB
Security Update 2008-008 is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X.
• Security Update 2008-008 (Client Intel)--163.2MB
• Security Update 2008-008 (Client PPC)--71.6MB
• Security Update 2008-008 (Server PPC)--133MB
As is my habit, I'm downloading the combo, which I believe provides better results than simply applying the the specific point update...
What's your take?
