ClamAV engine updated
October 9th 2008
Earlier today, Apple released the Security Update 2008-007, which among other things introduced a new version of the ClamAV 0.94 engine. What's that you say? It's the open source (GPL) anti-virus toolkit for UNIX, designed especially for e-mail scanning on mail gateways.
For the rest of us, the client useable version is ClamXav 1.1.1, which happily enough now includes the ClamAV 0.94 engine
So, if you're looking for an endorsement of a particular piece of anti-virus software for the Mac, that's as good as it gets. Apple uses ClamAV and so should...
What's your take?
