Apple posts Mac OS X 10.2.1, iTunes 3.0.1


The anticipated update to Jaguar hits the net, plus a minor update for iTunes.

Apple Wednesday posted Mac OS X 10.2.1 and iTunes 3.0.1. Both updates are available via the Software Update utility. A stand-alone version of the iTunes update is available, while one for 10.2.1 is expected to be available in the near future.

iTunes 3.0.1 includes improved support for Mac OS X 10.2, in addition to other unspecified performance enhancements. 3.0.1 requires Mac OS 10.1.4 or later.

Mac OS X 10.2.1 includes "enhancements and improvements to the following applications, technologies and components: Mail, Image Capture, Help Viewer, graphics, printing, networking, Rendezvous, Kerberos, USB, FireWire, SCSI device compatibility and includes additional Digital Hub peripheral device support."
