Atom-based iPhone confirmed

Quoting Intel Germany's managing director, Hannes Schwaderer, ZDNet Germany (Google Translation) has confirmed that a future version of the iPhone will be based on Intel's Atom processor.

It's said this bigger and badder iPhone will sport a 720 x 480 pixel display, and will be announced during Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference.

Further, ZDNet Germany states that this new device, call it the iPhone Bold, will be announced alongside the long-anticipated 3G iPhone.
