Firefox 3 beta 3 next week
February 8th 2008
Mozilla has announced that it expects to publicly release Firefox 3 beta 3 soon
The process of building and testing builds which will become Firefox 3 Beta 3 began on Monday at 7:20pm PST when development handed over control to the build team for branching and tagging. Things are moving along well...
However, because response to the Firefox 3 beta has been so overwhelming, Mozilla is seeking to limit public access to beta 3.
In related news, Mozilla has released Firefox 2.0.0.12, SeaMonkey 1.1.8 and Camino 1.5.5 updates:
• Firefox 2.0.0.12 (download, 17MB) addresses a number of security and stability issues discovered in Firefox 2.0.0.11.
• SeaMonkey 1.1.8 (download, 23MB) addresses security and stability issues, plus a list of bug fixes.
• Camino 1.5.5 (download, 15.3MB) includes Version 1.8.1.12 of the Mozilla Gecko rendering engine (which includes several critical security and stability fixes), Flashblock 1.5.5, improved ad blocking, fixes for a couple of crashes, and other changes.
