Apple trims iPhone forecast

Quoting the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN), DigiTimes reports that Apple has lowered its projected shipments of iPhones from two million units to around 1-1.2 million units for the second fiscal quarter, which will end March 2008.

According to EDN, sales of iPhones in Europe have been lower than expected, pushing Apple to slash its shipment projection for the second quarter.

In the just-reported quarter, it's believed that about 2.3 million iPhones were sold, bringing Apple's total to four million units since launch.
