Some real Garmin lovin'?

Garmin has announced (blog post) that the company will introduce a new software product at Macworld San Francisco next week. Aside from the fact that product in question is software, the company isn't offering any of details:

Let's just say that we have a new software product codenamed "Bobcat" that we will be showing and I think you're going to like it.

For its part, Ars Technica speculates, perhaps obviously, that Garmin could (should?) introduce fast mapping software that's compatible with Bluetooth and USB GPS dongles.

Editor's note: I'm hopeful Ars is right. However, I'm more inclined to believe Garmin will go for flash-in-the-pan with an iPhone related announcement...

What's your take?
