Apple, Orange coming to terms?


FinanzNachrichten (Germany) is reporting comments by the CEO of France Telecom. Didier Lombard said he expects the situation regarding the company's Orange unit's exclusive iPhone marketing deal will be resolved by the end of Nov.

In an interview with French regional daily the Republicain Lorrain, he gave no indication however of the likely outcome over a rumored clash regarding per contract / handset commissions to be paid Apple.

Lombard announced on Sept 20 that Orange had been selected to distributed the iPhone in France.

Editor's note: I doubt this lasted public media foray will bolster Lombard's position with Apple, which is known for its highly-secretive ways.
