iPhone to Feature More Flash Memory, User-Replaceable Battery?

vim3 reports that iPhone's specification may be considerably more than Steve Jobs let on at the MWSF announcement in January. The rumor is that June's iPhone launch will see the device contain more flash storage (a boost over the announced 4 or 8GB) and a user-replaceable battery - unlike the iPod (but watch this space on that one).

The story also states that the iPhone will have wireless draft-N support, versions (presumably considerably slimmed-down) of iLife and iWork, iTunes streaming, iTunes and downloads from the iTMS, tracks transferable to your PC/Mac and, most importantly, rebates from AT&T (the AT&T iPhone head honcho wouldn't comment on rebates in an interview this week, so draw your own conclusions) to cool off the sticker shock associated with the $499 or $599 price points.

Analysis: If this report proves correct, then the value proposition of iPhone just rose considerably. 6 or 10-12GB storage would give the device a sizeable boost. But the user-replaceable battery would also put a sock in the mouth of naysayers (although the lack of a user-replaceable battery hasn't put people off buying iPods). iTMS? Well, we rather expected that.
