Apple Recycles Macs, PCs Free

Apple has followed up its promise to develop even greener credentials by launching its free computer recycling program, Environmental Leader reports.

The program includes the recycling of any brand of computers, in any quantities. K-12s, colleges and universities with more than 25 computers can register by the end of June for the free program.

PCs placed on pallets and shrink-wrapped will be collected by Apple and recycled within the US, rather than shipped to countries, such as China, and buried as landfill.

Analysis So it's time to gather up your Dells and put them in the trash...er, we mean put them out for recycling. After all, no one ever gets rid of their Macs.
