Apple's $299 TV has raced to # 1 on the AppleStore sales charts, beating out iPod, which has claimed the # 1 spot for much of the last few years. Despite some criticism, the new TV box, that plays iTMS content on TVs has found widespread initial acceptance.

Nevertheless, iPods took 4 of the top 10 sales positions, including the RED Special Edition iPod. The full-sized iPod (30GB and 80GB) is at # @, followed by the Nano (all models) at # 3 and the Shuffle (# 4). The RED Nano is # 6.

Top-selling Macs include the MacBook at # 13 and the iMac at # 15. Just below, at # 16, is the MacBook Pro, which gives an indication as to how well it's selling. Interestingly, one of the biggest sellers is QuickTime Pro for Windows at # 11, although the Mac version of QT Pro outsells it at # 9.

And, in case you're wondering...Zune comes nowhere.
