When Apple released the iPod shuffle, talking heads from Creative Technology popped up to put down the device. Of course, as we all know now the shuffle delivered the flash-based player market to Apple in less than a quarter.

Today comes news that shares of Creative Technology have plunged nearly 10 percent yesterday on news that demand for its mp3 players is much lower than expected. Moreover, the selling price the company can get is also much lower than expected.

Together these facts, along with earlier hyperbolic market projections of the company's wind-bag CEO, Sim Wong Hoo, have served to send Creative's stock downward.
