OWC: RADEON 9200 in 21 days?


OWC (Other World Computing) is accepting pre-orders for the long-awaited ATI RADEON 9200 card, which the upgrade vendor states is expected to land on its dock on July 7. This PCI-based upgrade was "previewed" at Macworld San Francisco in January.

Based on the same chip that resides on current eMac and iBook motherboards, but with 128MB of memory, the RADEON 9200 replaces the now long-in-the-tooth RADEON 7000 PCI upgrade in ATI's catalog.

Editor's note: Although ATI's Mac product page lists 9600 and 9700 cards, the only way to purchase them in fact is through the second-hand market. One wonders why...
