Jobs Biographer Ejected from Ann Arbor Library for Swearing

We're not exactly sure whether this is news or simply idiotic. But we'll report it anyway.

Author Fredric Maxwell, whose book on Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer bears the glorious title Bad Boy Ballmer, is currently working on a - presumably very unauthorized - biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Problem is, he's working out of Ann Arbor library, and that solid institution has thrown him out. For, er, swearing, an Associated Press story posted at the Detroit News reports.

Maxwell allegedly swore in the library on "at least" three occasions. Now he argues his constitutional rights are being violated.

"To me, this falls way below the ideal of Ann Arbor," he is quoted as saying the story. "I thought these battles were fought and won decades ago."

The library apparently gave him the boot and then suspended him after the first time. Swearing apparently violates a city ordinance. Both the police and the library says the library's rules are clear, and that they have every right to refuse him admission.

The upshot is that Maxwell is suing the library and that he didn't break any rules.

Analysis: Hm, what's his book called? Is swearing allowed at Apple? Does the Apple board suspend Jobs every now and again so he can go work at Pixar?

And couldn't the librarians have just said, "Shhh!"

We warned you: this isn't a real news story. Can't wait for the [expletive deleted] book though.
