Apple's Q2 conference call to be streamed

Apple has said that it will announced its second quarter results in a conference call to analysts and the media on April 14. Here's their spin:

"Apple's conference call webcast discussing Qtr 2 - 2004 financial results will begin at 2:00pm PT/5:00pm ET on Wednesday, April 14, 2004."

As has become practice, the company will offer a live stream of the conference via QuickTime. A placeholder page has been posted here.

Editor's note: A gaggle of analysts have already warned that they expect Apple's hardware sales -- the iPod aside -- to be flat or down slightly. The question then is will iPod sales and iTMS revenues be enough to bolster the bottom line sufficiently to maintain the company's current stock price?

Spinning the current situation like this makes it almost imperative that Apple release new hardware, lots of it, as soon as possible.
