The Mac Show (LIVE) is dead! Long live Your Mac Life!

As an after thought last night, I pointed my browser at The Mac Show's website only to be greeted by this announcement:

"Mac Show Productions have decided to cease production of The Mac Show (LIVE) as of March 26, 2002."

Although I'm not surprised they're gone, it is somewhat remarkable that none of the Mac news sites mentioned the show's passing (try searching any of the top five sites for a reference).

I supose the reason "no one" noticed its passing was the fact the show's original and much loved host, Shawn King, left the show in a fairly public spat (philosophical differences) and went on to found Your Mac Life (same gig, different name) to resounding acclaim.

After the split King got back on the air rather quickly -- same day and time slot as The Mac Show -- and it became readily apparent where listeners' symphathies and loyalties lay on Wednesday nights (solidly with the "big doofusan").

The Mac Show made a go of it on Tuesday nights after it became apparent they couldn't go head-to-head with King. Regardless of the new time slot, though the show lacked pull and quickly folded.
