Apple to hold 'indie' music party
June 5th 2003
News.com reports that Apple is throwing a party for independent record labels Thursday at its Cupertino HQ. The company is seeking deals to expand the song library on sale at its iTunes Music Store.
Editor's note: Apple is rightly seeking a group of partners that aren't so tightly linked to the RIAA. iTMS' initial success and the increasing importance of independent record labels could be a potent combination in a world disgusted with corporate music.
