'Check out our new store design'

The online Apple Store has received a cosmetic refresh. A visual cue as to the new design's existence is posted on the mothership's homepage (a graphic with an arrow pointing in the direction of the "Store" tab at the top of the page that reads "Check out our new store design").

Though there may be under-the-hood changes not immediately visible to the naked eye, it appears that only the upper-most level has been changed as interior pages seem to be unchanged.

Personally, I find the Apple Store refresh cluttered and much more difficult to navigate than previously as the number of pictures and icons has multiplied.

What's your take?
