On iPhone 6s/6s Plus

I'm pretty impressed with the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. The 3D Touch demo was impressive and I could see how 3D Touch will significantly change how I use my phone. Also, the possibilities for apps seem pretty cool. Some the awkwardness for me of mobile is frequently switching of full screen displays. This is whether between apps or simply screens within apps. 3D touch's "peek" ability seems awesome to sort of preview content without going that other screen. Also the contextual commands, for example, pressing on Facebook to bring up a menu to check in, seems all kinds of awesome. On that point, it will be interesting to see how developers implement because I suspect they want your eyeballs on that home screen feed, ads, etc.

Every upgrade I say the biggest feature for me is the camera. I've got young kids and take a lot of photos and video. Basically we exclusively take photos on our iPhones now, and have for years. Better camera means better photos and videos, which mean better memories. I've been very pleased with the iPhone 6/+ camera, so I'm anxious to see how things could be further improved in such a small form factor.

I don't get too caught up in the megapixel thing, but it's been a while since Apple introduced 8 MP. If they can increase the resolution by 50%, but not hurt image quality as claimed, I'll be very happy. Also, the new cameras offers faster auto focus, which again with kids, is a big deal. Also, the camera now takes 4K video and we'll see how that works out. Hopefully it will be a nice improvement and not just a 4K flag on YouTube. Lastly the front facing FaceTime camera got some attention for the selfie crowd.

The significant performance is also interesting with 70% faster CPU and 90% faster GPU. The iPhone 6 I think is fine and the 6 Plus is a little sluggish at times. Making the 6 Plus more responsive sounds great to me. Plus iOS 9 promises other optimizations.
