Evernote extends two-factor verification to all users

We take the security of your data very seriously. Several months ago, we introduced two-step verification along with several other security features. Today, we're opening two-step verification up to everyone.

Until now the feature has only been available to premium and business subscribers. Now all Evernote users can set their account for access verification.

The system works similarly to Apple, Google, and other security features. When you access your account you need to provide valid username/password and then a PIN is sent to your phone. Type that in and you're logged in.

I've been using it on Evernote since it launched and I find it a bit of a nuisance to do every time I want to link an account. There were a lot of texts going when I upgraded my iPhone. But, it's worth it to keep data secure.
