iTunes delayed until end of November

C-Net reports:

"The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right," Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr told CNET. "We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November."

A rare slipped public ship date for Apple. A good guess was that Apple was planning to release iTunes prior to the new iPads, which launch Friday. Apple Monday announced a major executive reorganization and there could be a connection here. Speculation is that shipping products before they're ready, such as with the new iOS Maps, might be source of conflict at Apple. Perhaps the company is deciding to take its time on iTunes, which is a good idea since the current version of widely maligned.

I guess we'll see what it looks like at the end November. Maybe.
