Apple pushes out Apple Store app update with new in-store options

Apple Monday issued an update to its own shopping app. Apple Store 1.3 adds a couple new interesting features for those visiting Apple's retail stores. Users will also be able to page for help from a store worker. This would appear to address our biggest complaint about the trying to simply buy something. During busy times, it can be difficult to flag down a available worker to check out. Another new feature allows users to see how many people are in line for Genus Bar and other events such as workshops.

Shoppers will also be able to now build their own Macs, customizing options such as memory, hard drives, and other features.

The Apple Store 1.3 is a free download from the iTunes App Store
