Report: Apple to delay this fall’s iPhone

The Wall Street Journal:

Apple Inc. is pushing back the production ramp-up of its flagship iPhones coming later this year by about a month, according to people familiar with the changes, as the coronavirus pandemic weakens global consumer demand and disrupts manufacturing across Asia, the heart of the consumer electronics supply chain.

The WSJ reports that Apple has been working with teams preparing manufacturing in China over video calls rather than typically traveling in person.

Apple is expected to ship four new iPhones this fall. The headline feature is expected to be 5G wireless and the devices are expected to come in 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch sizes.
