Google's mobile voice/data service adds beta iPhone support.

Google announced a rebranding of its wireless service as Google Fi and official support for newer iPhones. Google Fi supports iPhone 5s, 6, and SE or newer as a beta service. It lacks a key feature to switch networks and Fi VPN, and it also has limited support for texting to non-iPhones and visual voicemail.

When we launched Project Fi in 2015, we set out to make your wireless experience fast, easy and fair. Over the years, we’ve built upon that vision by bringing you features at no extra cost, like international data coverage in 170 countries and territories, spam protection, and data-only SIMs for your other devices. This all comes layered in our simple plan with no contracts or extra fees, 24/7 customer support, and Bill Protectionâ€"which gives you the flexibility to use unlimited data when you need it, but only pay for what you use when you don’t.

Pricing $20 per month for calls and text. The data plan is $10 per GB up to 6 GB, then becomes unlimited after that. Additional lines are $15 each and the data plan changes to $10 per GB up to 10 GB before it becomes unlimited.

The data plans are pretty interesting. I hate Verizon's limited unlimited plans and would be a much better deal.
