YouTube TV to offer $35/mo streaming bundle

Google's YouTube announced today a new TV streaming service that aims to offer 30+ channels for $35/mo.

Like other new digital TV services, YouTube TV won't offer every network that cable TV services provide; instead it will feature a "skinny bundle," composed of the four broadcast networks -- Fox, ABC, CBS and NBC -- along with some of the cable channels related to the broadcasters. Which means you'll also get networks like Fox News, ESPN and Bravo; YouTube execs says the base package will include about three dozen channels.

YouTube TV will launch as a mobile app this spring, which seems interesting. I'd guess the most attractive audience would be cord cutters, who I would think would prefer to watch on their TV set top box. It sounds like the app will eventually get there, however. It will also be interesting to see if Google eventually brings its YouTube TV to Apple TV.
