Evernote changes course on privacy concerns, reevaluates policies

Evernote CEO Chris O'Neill:

Last week we announced changes to our privacy policy that fell short of your expectations of Evernote. Many of you spoke up, and I've spent the last few days listening to the concerns you've raised.

The company says the dustup made Evernote reevaluate what is important to customers. O'Neill says Evernote is as a result rethinking its commitment to privacy and customer relations.

Evernote has reviewed internal processes where employees touch customer data, in addition the company promises to engage with industry privacy groups to improve. Finally, O'Neill committed to establishing a customer advisory panel to better direct future developments.
