In addition to a curved OLED display, the Wall Street Journal reported today they expect Apple to adopt USB-C for its wired connector:
They said Apple would introduce other updates including a USB-C port for the power cord and other peripheral devices, instead of the company's original Lightning connector.
I'm going to guess the actual change will be a USB-C to Lightning connector and corresponding power adapter. That would seem to make sense as Macs transition to USB-C.
Of course, Apple could go through another connector change, but I'm not sure there is much technical advantage to put customers through that again right now.
