iOS 9.3 beta includes Find My AirPods

The developer beta version of iOS 9.3 offers the ability to track down your wireless AirPods.

9 to 5 Mac:

The feature lives inside Apple's Find my iPhone app, which allows users to locate their missing iOS devices on a Map via iCloud and a standalone iOS app. But since the AirPods rely on Bluetooth connectivity, it will only be able to locate the AirPods if they are in range of your other Apple devices.

As noted, you'll need to be near a paired device for this to function. The map function may be handy if you leave them at home or maybe work. The feature will also allow you to ping the AirPods so they will make a sound. This seems similar to how the Apple Watch can ping your iPhone to make an loud alert sound.
