Griffin's expands BreakSafe magnetic connectorline

With USB-C, Apple is moving away from its brilliant MacSafe adapters. The adapters are held in place magnetically so that when a pet or person gets tangled in your Mac's charging cable, its safely detaches rather than launch a computer across the screen.

USB-C offers some benefits, such as simplified sports and we're no longer beholden to Apple for power backup and charging needs.

Griffin introduced four new products, including a new 100-watt BreakSafe Hi-Power Magnetic USB-C Breakaway Cable for the latest MacBook Pro.

"Last year at CES 2016, our acclaimed BreakSafe Magnetic USB-C Power Cable stole the show with its innovation and USB-C support," said Rick Kennedy, Category Manager for Connectivity Products at Griffin. "We're proud to continue that legacy by extending the BreakSafe experience to more audiences beyond USB-C. Now, whether users are at their laptops or on the go, they get the safety that comes from a magnetic breakaway cable on any device."
