LyricFind has announced that it has partnered with Last.fm to provide lyrics for major and independent artists. This additional service allows Last.fm listeners to access lyrics from a range of artists new and old, including The Beatles, Radiohead, Amy Winehouse, and Kanye West, and search them by artist name, song title and phrase. “Adding lyrics content provides a compelling feature for both discovery and interaction with music," said Darryl Ballantyne, LyricFind CEO. "Last.fm is already an amazing service, and we’re thrilled to be able to partner with them to add this core feature and complete their music offering.” The deal brings lyrics to Last.fm for the first time, licensed from LyricFind’s database of content drawn from over 1,800 music publishers including EMI, Warner-Chappell, Sony/ATV and Universal/BMG. This additional level of service is available to Last.fm users in the US and Canada only. Editor's note: Spent a little time digging and this service appears to be web only. That is, lyrics aren't available via the Last.fm desktop client. via Distorted-Loop
