Quoting weekly Wirtschaftswoche, a weekly news magazine, Rapid TV reports that Apple is planning to offer movies on iTunes Germany with the new service to launch in a few weeks time.
According to the report, Apple is building up a digital library of German-language movies, which will offered for rental and sale. No information on pricing or other terms is available.
The iTunes Movie Store Germany will compete with maxdome from ProSiebenSat.1 and Videoload from Deutsche Telekom.
To date, Apple has only offered movies on iTunes in English-speaking countries.
