From newcomer Feist (1234) to the graybeards of U2 (Vertigo), Apple has deftly chosen music for its iPod commercials that has captured and sometimes defined the zeitgeist, establishing careers and re-inventing images. Of course, with the launch of the 4G iPod nano today, the company has also released a new promotional TV spot. Naturally, as with every iPod commercial (wikipedia), there's music. For Apple's newest iPod-flavored love note to the consumers, the company chose Bruises by Chairlift. [Continue reading] If you're an aspiring artist or band, nothing says success like having Apple use one of your songs as the soundtrack for an iPod commercial. That said, Bruises is a familiar sound akin to the light-and-airy sound of Feist (parody) and doesn't break new ground.
