Beatles in '09?


Quoting a Mojo interview with Paul McCartney, Beatles fan site What Goes On reports that the Fab Four may finally make onto the iTunes Store "sometime" next year.

Further, Mojo writes that all of the Beatles' albums have been remastered / mixed with the exception of The Hollywood Bowl. Two albums, Rubber Soul and Revolver have been remastered into three forms mono, original stereo and the 1987 stereo rebalances.

However, as IGM reported earlier this week, the music industry rumor mill has been silent on the possibility of major music-related announcements on Tuesday. Although silence doesn't rule out something interesting or even earth shattering, it would seem unlikely given that the music business is all about leaks, buzz and snarky rumors.

Paul McCartney said in November, 2007 that the Beatles' catalog would be available this year. It's reported that the deal to offer the catalog online is worth $400-million to the Sir Paul, Ringo Starr and the families of the deceased Beatles.
