Aliant, Atlantic Canada's leading information and communications technology provider, has announced that it is expanding its relationship with Apple to add the iMac ($52 / month) to the Aliant Computer Purchase Program, which is in addition to the already available MacBook ($47 / month).

"Over the past several years we've been helping our customers get online with the latest computers," says Joe Mosher, vice-president, residential marketing. "Value, choice and convenience are very important to our customers and Apple's popular desktop computer—the iMac—should prove to be another great option for our Atlantic Canadian customers."

The Aliant Computer Purchase Program, introduced in 2005 and a first for the telecommunications industry, was designed to connect more Atlantic Canadians with online technology by combining Internet services and computers together for one monthly price on the same bill.

Currently, the program offers four Dells and two Macs.

Editor's note: There are payment plans that suck the life out of consumers (ie credit cards, pay-day loans) and there are ones that enable. I like this plan from Aliant as it's low-cost and provides consumers with computers and internet service—simply brilliant.
