Nick Rewind expands iTunes offerings

Nickelodeon has announced that Nick Rewind (iTunes link) is now offering a catalog featuring some of the most-beloved classic shows on the iTunes Store.

"Nick Rewind's extensive catalog offers some of the most-requested and classic early shows from Nickelodeon," said Steve Youngwood, Executive Vice President, Digital Media, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group. "We hear from literally thousands of teens and young parents who say they want to see the shows that defined their childhood, so we're launching Nick Rewind for them and all the fans of our brand."

Apple iTunes

Nick Rewind features both full-length episodes ($1.99) and season / best of collections ($8.99 and up) of classic Nickelodeon shows including: The Amanda Show; Rugrats; As Told By Ginger; Hey Dude; Rocket Power; Clarissa Explains It All; and many more.

In related news, Macworld reports that AMC is now offering the first season of Mad Men via iTunes for $20.

Editor's note: Whereas NBC won't sell its products through iTunes, even though its other digital outlets net it less money, companies like Nickelodeon seem to be very pleased with their relationship with Apple and keep expanding their offerings.
