Dan Lyons: On the move to Newsweek

AlleyInsider reports that Dan Lyons, aka Fake Steve Jobs (FSJ), is leaving Forbes after a 10 years. He's going to Newsweek where he'll take over the position vacated by Steven Levy, who himself jumped ship for Wired back in March.

A memo from Forbes AME Bruce Upbin reads in part:

It pains me to say it but Dan Lyons is heading out the door after 10 years at Forbes. Saying we wish him well is an understatement. Dan is a tremendous reporter and columnist, author of countless cover stories, bringer of buzz and an epically good satirist as Fake Steve.

According to AlleyInsider, it isn't known whether Dan will continue as FSJ after he starts at Newsweeks.

Editor's note: That Lyons has kept the Fake Steve persona alive even after he was unmasked is kind of amazing. Here's hoping his alter ego continues through this next adventure...
