Quoting an unnamed source, Business Week reports that the iPhone SDK, which El Jobs said would arrive in February, might be late.

I’m hearing from one source that its going to be late. I’m not yet hearing any reasons why, and it’s sounding like the official release date could slide by anywhere from one to three weeks.

With less than a week left in the month, it's perhaps obvious that Apple's going to miss, though the situation is described by Business Week as "fluid."

It has been rumored that an Apple Event is planned for the iPhone SDK release and it was hoped that a New York performance by Linkin Park, which has come and passed, would be part of it.

[update] Citing no one, and likely just speculating on speculation,9 to 5 Mac claims that an Apple Event widely speculated for February 26 has been postponed until mid-March.

Editor's note: With the iPhone still peerless, that Apple's sliding a week or three isn't a big deal...

What's your take?
