iPhone European distributors


Quoting Spain's El Periodico (Spanish), Macworld UK reports that Telecom Italia Mobile (Italy) and Telefonica (Spain) are next in line for exclusive iPhone distribution deals.

Moreover, these latest additions to the iPhone distribution map will be announced Feb 11 ~ 14 at the World Mobile Congress in Barcellona.

There's one especially tantalizing tidbit (Macity, Italian) in the write up: There's already a piece of code in the iPhone's software (the TIM_Italy.bundle). That would seem to cinch.

Lastly, Swisscom is expected to bring the iPhone to Switzerland by late February, claims Le Temps (French).
