Earlier today we reported that the Mac's online market share is soaring. But according to Net Applications, that isn't the whole picture—it seems Mac usage is rather high in demographically "liberal" states. Although the Mac's overall online market share is 6.61 percent, there are places in the US where a much higher ratio choose to use computers running the fairer platform: 01 Hawaii—15.89 percent 02 Vermont—15.14 03 California—12.83 04 Oregon—12.72 05 New York—12.33 06 Alaska—11.87 07 Maine—11.19 08 Massachusetts—11.19 09 Washington—10.3 10 Colorado—10.09 If you're thinking that many of these states are known for having a "liberal" bent, you're not alone. Yes, Alaska and Colorado are exceptions, but there does seem to be a correlation. I wonder if Mac users' high educational and income quotients also hold in these liberal states, as well? If yes, how much higher? What's your take?
