VNU.net is reporting a rumor that no one else is: Radio iPod.

Yes, you heard it here second. Apple is 'expected' to release new iPods on September 5, but this time with support for digital radio reception. Citing 'reliable industry sources', the article says that the iPods will also support a 'buy-now' function that will enable users to purchase and download the tracks they're listening to.

To begin with, only tracks from the iTunes Store will available for purchase, but it is thought that the selection will expand dramatically soon after the Radio iPod is brought to market.
