Denver Post reports that AT&T is offering low-cost, "naked" DSL service in its 22-state service area. The catch is that the deal is only available to those that have never had AT&T or BellSouth broadband service. Under terms of the deal, users must buy both local phone service and a one-year contract. Users needn't purchase or rent a modem as it's included "free." AT&T's offer of naked DSL (768 / 128 kbps) is an FCC-mandated condition of the company's takeover of BellSouth. Get more information here.
